A LITTLE BIT ABOUT US
Hey there! I started pet sitting in 2010 as a freshman in high school for friends and family and continued to do so throughout college. In 2016 I started working for a Dog Boarding Company where I cared for almost every breed of dog. I earned a B.S. in Biology from Schreiner University and soon after became an Animal Caretaker at Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation Inc. where I was able to expand my knowledge of many non-native birds, reptiles, and mammals. I currently work as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, but I still wanted to fulfill my love for animals and what better way to do so than with my other half as The Pair That Cares. I've had many pets growing up and I know how worrisome it can be to leave them at times, but rest assured they'll be in good hands!
Hey y'all! While I didn't have many pets growing up, I had a few that meant a whole lot to me. I love all animals but would consider myself a crazy cat lady. My background in education includes a B.A. in Psychology from The University of Texas at Austin and I am currently pursuing a Masters in Social Work at Texas State University. I have prior retail management experience that taught me a lot about customer relations and business management. I promise to love your fur baby as if they were my own!
How it all started:
We both have experience pet sitting for friends and family so during the spring of 2020 we started helping each other out when friends/family would need us. Because of the pandemic, we had more time on our hands than usual and decided to sign up to work for Rover. Once we were able to establish regular clients, we played around with the idea of launching our own business. One thing we learned from being able to work together is that we are able to offer greater availability which allows us to spend more time with your pets. We try to both be available for all appointments but in the event that one of us is unavailable, the other half of this equation usually is. For house sitting appointments, we are able to be home with your pets for more hours out of the day because of our different schedules. Not only are you leaving your pets in the hands of someone who cares, you are leaving them in the hands of The Pair That Cares. We'd love to care for your pet(s), big or small we love them all!
